Getting started
Chef's Pages includes a 14-day free trial with full access to every feature. No payment is taken until the trial ends. You can cancel at any time from your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
All your recipes, wines, and collections are stored privately using Apple's CloudKit. This means your data lives in your iCloud account — Chef's Pages never has access to it. It syncs automatically across all your Apple devices.
Chef's Pages is designed for iPhone and includes an Apple Watch companion app for controlling timers from your wrist while you cook. iPad is currently not supported.
Recipes & wines
You can paste a URL or recipe text directly into Chef's Pages and it will be parsed and formatted automatically. You can also capture a recipe by photo — point your camera at a printed recipe and it will be recognised and imported.
When you refine a recipe — adjusting ratios, swapping an ingredient, changing the method — you can save a new version rather than overwriting your original. Over time, you build a record of how a dish has evolved, and you can always return to an earlier version.
Chef's Pages analyses the flavour profile of a recipe and suggests wines from your cellar that complement it. You can also add wines to your cellar by scanning the label — the app reads the label and fills in the details automatically.
Yes. You can add wines manually, scan labels using your camera, or enter them by name. Each wine can include tasting notes, vintage, region, and a rating.
Timers
Yes — this is one of Chef's Pages' core features. You can run as many simultaneous timers as you need, each labelled by step or ingredient. Timers sync to your Apple Watch and use system alarms, so they'll fire reliably even if the app is in the background.
Yes. Chef's Pages uses system-level alarms which fire even when the app is not open, your phone is locked, or Do Not Disturb is active. You won't miss a step.
Sharing & collections
Open any recipe and tap the share icon. You can share a beautifully formatted card — suitable for messages, email, or social media — or send the full recipe as a Chef's Pages file that recipients can open directly in the app.
Yes. Collections — groups of recipes organised by cuisine, occasion, or theme — can be shared as a single link. The recipient sees your full curated collection and can open individual recipes from it.
Subscription & billing
Chef's Pages costs £2.99/month or £29.99/year. The annual plan saves you around 17% compared to paying monthly. Both include a 14-day free trial.
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to iPhone Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Chef's Pages → Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Your recipes, wines, and collections remain in your iCloud account. Because Chef's Pages uses Apple's CloudKit for storage, your data belongs entirely to you — cancelling the subscription does not delete anything.
